Ryan Crowley Shows Off Gruesome Bruising Following Pec Tear (GRAPHIC)

After getting surgery on his brutal pec tear, bodybuilder Ryan Crowley gives a glimpse into the healing process with some gnarly bruising

Amateur bodybuilder Ryan Crowley suffered one of the most brutal bench press injuries in recent memory. Now he shares an update that displays the intense bruising that comes along with the healing process.

It is the dream of basically any young bodybuilder to train with Larry Wheels, but for Crowley that dream turned into a nightmare quickly. After having a few sessions with Wheels, Ryan found himself on the receiving end of a brutal pec tear, after a bench press accident.

The video of the injury was difficult to look at, to say the least. However Larry was able to use this to help facilitate a GoFundMe campaign in order to cover the costs of surgery to repair the damage.

With that surgery successful, Ryan Crowley is now on the path to healing up and recovering. However that process does not come without its drawbacks.

Posting to his Instagram Stories, Ryan shared an update on the healing process he is undergoing. The graphic photos show the intense amounts of bruising and swelling on his arm and midsection, which is par for the course when healing from this type of severe injury.

“As you can see from the photos, I’m extremely bruised and extremely swollen. I’ve got, like a belly now. There’s so much fluid retention down my hips, my stomach, everywhere. My bicep’s like twice the size,” Crowley while also adding in the captions of the pictures:

“Absolutely terrible bruising can’t believe it. My whole body is extremely swollen now too. I’m still in a huge amount of pain and still in hospital. This is half of the bruising. My whole body is swollen however I can feel my hands and feet much better now.”

To put it mildly, this is one of the more severe injuries we have seen in a long time, from a bench press disaster. It serves as a cautionary tale about why it is important to follow every safety precaution possible when moving heavy weights.

Crowley is not the first person to suffer a pec tear while bench pressing, and he will certainly not be the last. However one can only hope that his injury can serve as an example of what can happen if you are not careful.

Hopefully Ryan can heal up soon, and get to feeling better. He is an extremely promising young prospect, and it would be a shame if this one setback cost him his career as a bodybuilder.
